Semantic Laboratories has created a label for a new category of applications and technologies for gathering, providing access to, and analyzing data for the purpose of helping the research enterprise users make better research decisions. We call this category Research Intelligence (RI) Analogous to the goals of Business Intelligence (BI), the vision for RI is rapid access, integration and analysis of research data across the research enterprise for supporting decision making by project leaders and research management.
