Products

Semantic Laboratories is developing revolutionary research enterprise software to support the discovery, retrieval, integration and analysis of research experiment data and managed research knowledge distributed throughout the drug discovery organization and the world-wide web.

Currently there are five products under development and released:

SLabsSearch™

Developed using industry standard Semantic Web and open-source and  Google search technologies, SLabsSearch™ provides an integrated search platform tailored to drug discovery research for discovering, retrieving and integrating research data distributed across the corporate network, databases and the Internet.

SLabsRDBMSearch™

Developed using the open source full-text search software Apache Lucene, SLabsRDBMSearch™ provides a platform to research data stored in distributed relational database (such as Oracle) available for semantic searching.  By indexing relational database contents, SLabsRDBMSearch™ improves the precision of finding data hidden in databases and frees the relational database from performing complex search operations and improves overall performance of production systems.

SLabsCMS™

Developed using the open-source content management system (CMS) Alfresco, SLabsCMS™ customizes and extends the Alfresco CMS to provide a research enterprise content management system (RCMS) for secure document management, project workflow management, collaboration management, web content management and laboratory data management.  SLabsCMS™ can be integrated with SLabsSearch™ to provide ontology-based searching of all research information managed using SLabsCMS™.

SLabsForums™

An more secure alternative to using the corporate email system for internal research discussions, SLabsForums™ is the integration of an open source web-based discussion forum (e.g., phpForum, JForum, Yazd) for use within the research Intranet to capture critical dynamic research knowledge while fully searchable using SLabsSearch™ Desktop.   

SLabsFlow™ (coming in 2007)

Developed using the open-source scientific workflow system Kepler, SLabsFlow™ provides specialized actors to the Kepler scientific workflow environment used for constructing complex distributed analyses in bioinformatics, cheminformatics and pharmacoinformatics.
