SLabsCMS™ provides document management and research workflow processing on research generated content. Developed using the open-source content management system (CMS) Alfresco, SLabsCMS™ customizes and extends the Alfresco CMS to provide a secure research enterprise content management system (RCMS) for document management, project workflow management, collaboration and laboratory information management.  SLabsCMS™ extends the Alfresco document model to integrate  research-relevant semantic metadata to documents stored in the CMS, enabling improved management and searching for relevant documents.

SLabsCMS™ supports the critical integration of information management and workflows across the Research and Development (R&D) functions within a biotechnology company, including R&D Administration, R&D Laboratories and R&D Projects.
